BALTIMORE, MD, September 21, 2021 — With two wins and four podiums on his results card this season in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda, rookie driver Jason Alder will head to the Virginia International Raceway (VIR) this weekend. Racing with the potent Velocity Racing Development program, Alder sits fourth in the championship point standings and helped his VRD team gain points to lead the Team Championship battle.
“I am ready to get back to work and test my skills against the competition; I know that I have the team and equipment that are capable of winning,” expressed Jason Alder. “We started the season off strong but have had some bad luck mid-season. I am looking to turn that around this weekend and see what I can do to put myself and Velocity Racing Development back on the podium. I want to thank Dan Mitchell, the whole VRD team as well as my family and friends for believing in me this season.”
Currently sitting fourth in the championship point standings and with five races remaining, Alder and his #77 entry will aim to have a big point scoring weekend in Virginia. Sitting 48 markers behind the current point leader, and with a maximum of 125 total points remaining in the 2021 season, Alder’s goals are simple: win and podium.
Alder continued, “I am not sure what our race plans are for 2022 yet, but I am fully focused on the 2021 season and championship. I know what I need to do to get myself to the top of the point standings and that has my full attention until the final checkered flag this season.”
Jason Alder will hit the track on Friday for a couple of test sessions before qualifying. Saturday and Sunday will house three wheel-to-wheel races and three opportunities to stand on the podium.
