BALTIMORE, MD, October 20, 2021 — With the pinnacle event on the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda calendar this coming weekend, rookie Jason Alder is looking to make it a memorable one. Competing at the famed Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, Alder will take to the track alongside the Formula One World Championship with a shot at the series title. With plans not yet announced for the 2022 season, Alder is looking to finish his 2021 campaign on a high note before shifting his focus to next year.

Coming off a double win event at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR) a couple of weeks ago, Alder sits third in the championship point standings, a mere twenty-five points out of the lead. With a maximum of fifty points up for grabs this coming weekend at COTA, the championship and the associated prize package is still very much in play.

“The goal for me is simple at COTA. Win!” explained Jason Alder. “I need to gain as many points as possible and see where the chips fall. I can only control my own race, so I am fully focused on earning points.  I don’t feel like the pressure is on me to perform rather, just the opposite.  The pressure is on my competitors to stay on top.”

With four wins and six podiums in fifteen races, Alder scored sixty points at the most recent event in Virginia, twenty-three more than the current championship leader.

Alder added, “I need to have another near perfect weekend and that is my goal. I started the 2021 season with back-to-back wins, and I will look to close it out the same way.”

With drivers set to hit the track on Friday for practice, Saturday morning will be the home for qualifying and the first wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend. Just prior to the Formula One United States Grand Prix, the F4 competitors will close their season with their final event on Sunday morning.
